Inclusive Talents Programme

Presentation of the program at CITIC.

The Inclusive Talents programme is an initiative that aims to promote STEM vocations among high school students and to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people with cerebral palsy in their daily lives. The programme will be taught during the 2020-2021 academic year by 30 professors from the University of A Coruña linked to the Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC), in close collaboration with teachers from eight institutes and schools in Galicia who will tutor work teams made up of high school students and people with disabilities who are users of the Association of Parents of People with Cerebral Palsy (ASPACE CORUÑA).

Throughout the programme, ASPACE users will propose a challenge from their daily lives to the students, so that, as a group under the tutoring of the lecturer, they can develop a possible technological solution to improve quality of life for people with disabilities.

The project is promoted by the Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC), the Association of Parents of People with Cerebral Palsy (ASPACE CORUÑA), the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the University of A Coruña Social Council.
